Join us for a creative weekend this September as City Lit partners with Selvedge magazine to present the Textiles Weekender, part of London Textile Month 2025.

Whether you are a complete beginner or have years of experience behind the sewing machine, this two-day event at City Lit is a chance to dive into the inspiring world of textiles.

Try your hand at a variety of short workshops, from weaving and quilting to digital textiles and crochet. At three hours long, the workshops provide time to learn with like minded textile enthusiasts curious about the vast breadth of this wonderful craft.

Nestled in the heart of Covent Garden, there are plenty of places where you can grab yourself a coffee en route to your workshops, or choose from a variety of cuisines for dinner.

We are walking distance to the Royal Opera House and Theatreland, so you can close out your weekend with a show or a lovely dinner with friends to really make an occasion of the weekend.
