You will choose a pattern from the deck of cards and then will be supported with group individual support as needed to help you complete your crochet flower. Using the cards makes for a different, fun way of reading patterns, it will be interesting to see what everyone will come up with at the end.
You will be shown how to read the crochet card patterns to get you started, you will also be shown how to work in the round to help you form your flower shape. Everyone will be able to choose a card to read with support from the tutor.
Depending on skill levels, we can also look at how to create slightly more advanced cluster stitches such as shells, puffs and bobbles.
This is a practical workshop, with learning achieved through repetition and practicing the techniques of crochet You will be taken through the techniques with a group demonstration and then individually when necessary. There will also be recommendations for relevant courses and books, for those who are interested in developing their skills after the workshop.
