Roo Bannister - Musée Roo
Roo Bannister is a jewellery designer based in Bristol whose studio, Musée Roo, channels the spirit of the past into contemporary craftsmanship. Her work is rooted in historical jewellery forms yet wholly relevant to the modern, conscious collector.
Every piece in the Musée Roo collection is hand‐crafted from recycled and ethically sourced materials, honouring the tradition of hallmarking and stamping that has long signified provenance and quality. Bannister draws inspiration from museum pieces, auction catalogues and ancient artefacts, re-interpreting them into wearable treasures for the present.
Her practice is defined by thoughtful materiality: recycled gold, silver, brass and other metals are transformed and stamped with bespoke hallmarks that reflect both heritage and sustainability.
Whether admired in its own right or layered into personal collections, Musée Roo’s jewellery honours the timeless value of well-made objects, inviting wearers to engage with history, material integrity and intentional design.
