About Threadology:
Threadology was founded in 2016 by Manali Shah, built from savings, determination, and a small design studio that gradually took shape at home. Shah, who holds a Bachelor's in Design, has long collected handmade pieces and memories from her travels across India.
The brand's starting point came on a visit to a handicrafts shop in a small town in Gujarat, where a beautiful vintage hand-crafted rug inspired the idea of upcycling such textiles into patterns for a jacket, the seed from which Threadology grew.
At its heart, Threadology bridges the skills of traditional weavers and craftsmen from across India, techniques passed down through generations, much like the evolving design sensibilities passed from mother to daughter. It is a meeting point between these two worlds.
The brand's sensibility lies in adding colours of love to thread, from weaving through to making. Garments are designed to be multifunctional, wearable frontwards or backwards, and layered over or under other pieces.
